YOUTH CAREER SERVICES


The Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) Youth Career Services program is a comprehensive youth employment program that provides educational and employment services to youth. The program includes a variety of program elements that include leadership opportunities, college prep services, supportive services, financial literacy, tutoring and training opportunities.
Paid Work Experience
The Youth Career Services program offers the opportunity for Youth to gain work experience, explore different careers and develop skills all while being paid. Youth are placed at local businesses that align with their interests and are mentored by supervisors in a planned and structured learning experience.
Eligibility
To receive services through the Youth Career Services program, you must meet eligibility requirements that include:
- Be between the ages of 14-24
- Santa Barbara County Resident
- Eligible to work in the US
- Have a need for program services in order to find a job or get into school
Orientations for Youth Career Services Program:
Every Tuesday at 4:00 PM at any of the Goodwill Industries Youth Center locations.
Due to the COVID-19 Stay-at-Home orders, the Goodwill Industries Youth Centers in Santa Barbara County are currently closed until further notice. Remote employment and training services are available by calling (805) 845-3926, (805) 928-5282 or (805) 736-6700.
